POLARIZED LENSES

Almost everybody knows that the polarized lenses "are better", but just a few actually know how they function and the differences that are between one another.

In order to understand it in detail we have to start from the fact that the visibile light is an electromagnetic wave characterized, short version, by intensity frequency and orienting in the electric field.

Our eyes can understand intensity (quantity of light) and the frequency of the light that hits them ( every frequence reaches us with a different color, the high frequences blue and the low ones in red, but they' re not able to recognize the orientation in the electric field.

Usually the "normal" light of a landscape is a chaotic mixture of casual orientation without a dominant one, but when the light is reflected from a surface then the orientation of the electric field of the reflexed light becomes parallel to the one of the surface that reflected the light.

The polarized lenses have a particular inner anisotropa structure that makes sure that only one determined direction of the field will spread, in this way they orientate the cut of the lens and it' s possible to eliminate SELECTIVELY the light reflected making what we see more sharp and comfortable without reflections.

It' s important to understand though that there are huge differences between a polarized lens and another one: the quantity of effective polarization ( no lens is actually polarized at a 100%, but there are lenses like our ones which are polarized at the 99% and others at the 60%), the uniformity of the polarization on all the visible colors (unfortunately there are many of this kind that as a consequence make some colors un-naurally brighter for the lack of reflection), the base pigment and eventual consequences to other coatings or superficial treatments and the optic definition.

Out Of Polarized lenses, The one Nero, The one Fuoco and The one Gelo all have a high quality polarized filter that locks the light polarized horizontally for the 99% in a homogeneous way on the whole spectrum of visible colors and on the surface of the whole lens, avoiding annoying color changing.

Furthermore the lenses The One have particular photocromatic pigments able to always optimize the brightness and the perceived colors on the base of the external wheather conditions.
